As human beings we experience life by thinking, feeling, and doing. While evidence-based research can guide us in addressing the ‘thinking’ and ‘feeling’ aspects of the pain experience, how should we address the ‘doing’ aspect? How can we better support people with pain in making tangible changes to manage pain and live well?
In this webinar recording, occupational therapist Linda Crawford explores how our perspectives of ‘thinking’, ‘feeling’, and ‘doing’ shape our approaches to supporting people in pain. Linda uses her experience as an occupational therapist to challenge participants to rethink how health care providers engage with people in pain and to adapt the treatment focus towards experiences of ‘doing’ to improve pain management outcomes.
