About National Pain Awareness Week

Chronic pain impacts the lives of 1 in 5 Canadians. During National Pain Awareness Week (NPAW), pain organizations host various events and activities to raise awareness and understanding of the impacts of chronic pain in Canada.

As part of NPAW 2018, Pain BC is leading a social media awareness campaign to highlight the many experiences of people who living with persistent pain. We're inviting people who live with chronic pain, caregivers, and health organizations to participate in the #LivingWithPain campaign.

How you can take part

  1. Share your story about living with pain using the #LivingWithPain and #NPAW2018 hashtags on Facebook and Twitter. Don't forget to include a photo of yourself or you can also include these campaign graphics in your posts.
  2. Read and share the daily featured stories of people living with pain from the Pain BC blog and social accounts.
  3. Like, comment on and share other posts you come across throughout the week.
